can anyone help me look for a graphics card?

i need some help finding a new graphics card. my budget is £200 ($350) and i want a graphics card fairly similar to this specification:

GPU - 400MHz
RAM - 256MB LOCAL
Memory type - 256-bit DDR
Mem. Clock Speed - 1000MHz
Interface - PCI Express x16
Max. Resolution - 2048 x 1536
Outputs - VGA and S-Video (TV - out)
Pipelines - 16
Pixel Fill Rate - 4 Gigapixels/sec
Mem. Bandwidth - 16 GB/s
Shader Version - 3

i've tried dabs, but there website is off at the moment, adn froogle is taking me a long time

Hehe, an extra 39 quid could get you one of the latest video cards from Nvidia. The 7800GT:

Otherwise your looking at maybe a 6800 Vanilla card, though I can't find that on the site.

If ATI is the card you'd usually go for, then there is a fair selection there too, though ATI cards dont support Shader Model 3.

i would go with the geforce 6800 from bfg lifetime warranty an solid performance saw it for 350 at best buy probly get cheaper somwhere else

A nice ATI X600 or A Geforce 6800 is good, but If you want to spend a little more, a 7800GTX is powerful...even more powerful than te PS3 GPU

Yeah, and its almost within your budet... Well, the GTX version may not be.

Hehe, even more powerful than the PS3 GPU eh?
Even if it is, consoles can unlock and use power, developers working for PC can't use because they have to work with a stream of PC's and not just one. So were unlikely to see PS3 visuals on PC for a while.

not that i know alot obout this but i am going to doubt the ps3 is that much bettert than the graphics of fear or hl2 or doom. ps2 doasnt come close so if it is they took a big step . just my 2 cents

Haha, but yeah, I'd go with the 6800GT if it was me. A little more than the budget, but not by much.
