Not every one is born with a silver spoon in thier mouth and a platinum AMEX card in thier hand. Not every one is a gamer and not every one needs a hot rod sitting on thier desk. Just something simple that will get online and do e-mail or chat. Or both. Why buy a Lambo if you're just going back and forth to work? A VW would work just as good for the job and cost less to operate.
