5.1 Surround Sound Help!!!!!!

Hi I just installed a 5.1 surround sound card and i have plugged everything in and installed the drivers but ho come the sound is only coming from the front speakers when im playing music. I havent tried playing games yet but will that be the same , please help.

Control Panel> Sounds and Audio Devices> On the volume tab, the first one, at the bottom click Advanced, under Speaker Settings. From there choose your speaker setup from the drop down list.

On the sub is it set to 5.1? also check your windows audio to see if it's set to 5.1 too.

Go to Start/Control Panel/Sounds and Audio Devices/Advanced button on the bottom. Then click on 5.1 surround sound speakers.

Sound cards come with thier own drivers and software. Did you install this? What name brand name and model is it?
