wireless trouble

i'm running windows 98 on this comp (i know, i'm so obsolete). i have a supposedly plug-and-play wireless adapter, smc2671, so there are no drivers for it. i cant get it to connect to my wireless adapter and dont know how you're supposed to configure it if its plug-and-play and has no drivers. anyone got a suggestion?

there is no such thing as plug and play with win 98.

the Plug and play feature came in with windows 2000.

To make it work on 98, you might have to contact the company somehow and see if they might have drivers or not. perhaps they can send them to you.

i have the same adapter and SMC adapters work on the win 98 edition 2, or second edition. wut ever its called the SMC only works with the second edition of win 98....not the first cause i had the same problem with my computer down stairs.

i have the second edition of windows 98. did u have to do any configuring to get the adapter to work? all three lights (tx/rx, link/act, and pwr) are lit up or flash when i connect the adapter, but i just cant connect to the internet. Nor does my wireless router recognized any comp that is connected wirelessly
