A acphenom Daemon Poster Messages 667 Oct 1, 2005 #1 Just wondering, cause if they did, then I guess you could get a considerable benefit from going with a 400MHz Bus Dothan over a 533MHz one.

J JustinMcG67 BSOD Messages 2,519 Oct 1, 2005 #3 I wonder if my motherboard supports DDR2 ram... ASUS P4P800S-X Series... Can anyone tell if it will?
W wozelbeak Daemon Poster Messages 1,324 Oct 2, 2005 #4 all that asus say about the p4p 800 is: DDR400 (PC3200), the latest and fastest DDR memory standard, supports bandwidth up to 3.2GB/s to provide enhanced system performance. woz

O ownage Fully Optimized Messages 4,404 Oct 2, 2005 #5 how is DDR400 the fastest DDR? its not. IT IS THE FASTEST DDR THAT JEDEC APPROVES OF. But the fastest DDR is DDR500.

OP OP A acphenom Daemon Poster Messages 667 Oct 2, 2005 #6 Yeah, I seen the benchmarks, Dothan gets served pretty bad by Sonoma, but I was just curious. Do the LV and ULV PM's not support DDR2 either? Cause I would think they would, being meant for ultraportables.

OP OP A acphenom Daemon Poster Messages 667 Oct 2, 2005 #7 Well, it did say 'standard', sooo... And I seen DDR650 modules around. Anyway, don't matter, cause DDR400 have the lowest latencies, so it evens out to some extent.

O ownage Fully Optimized Messages 4,404 Oct 2, 2005 #8 not really, DDR500 has the lowest latencies if you want to pay the price that is 2-2-2-5@DDR500 (stock by the way)
