Thats not exactly how it went for me, but more or less. I haven had any problems with Avast though. Not saying its better ,im saying it works for me. I also have avg, they seem to do the trick, for free.

900 dollars for an antivirus program? Did they kiss him? Would you care to tell us what the name of this super duper program is?

As for you guys getting your AV starting a scan by itself, Go in to the setting and disable the timed scan. My AVG did that the other morning and flipped my poop right out. I hadn't checked the scheulder for a timed event. And it got me.
