the maintenace man at my apartment complex unplugged my computer to work on the oulets and now when i turned it on it says disk boot failure insert system disk and press enter i don't have the cd for the windows and i don't have a boot disk how can i get this, fixed. what do i need to do can anyone help me.

1st of all it would be cool to know what OS you were using but have you tried to booting into safemode ?
you do this by repeat hitting the f1 or f2 or f8 button on your keyboard right after your computer logo dissapears.
if you are choosing the f8 key option, when the start menu comes up, just scroll to safemode and hit enter. <it might take a while to load, but be patient>
once your in safe mode run any spyware programs you might have, then try rebooting.

If you could open your case,try to unplug the hard disk then plug it again. Then you also tried going to CMOS setup and auto-detect the hard drive
