This is weird. I've just installed Vista and it works on a 32-bit computer...all the feeling is new. I like it...and it even takes less memory than WinXP...

Vist6a seems to be far more better than LH and is better than Windows XP. looking at it will make you feel that you're godlike

It shouldn't matter that much. If you can't handle it, XP will last you for some time to come. Look at 2000, some even like 2000 more than XP. I mean sure Vista will probably be better and I can't blame you for wanting it, but XP is good enough for now.

I don't understand though. People can download Viesta now? How can it even be complete enough to run yet? Surely theres still alot to do, and things can change.

Umm u could download it months ago. But ofcourse it had many bugs etc then since it was not ready, and prolly still has stuff like that if it ain't ready yet.

It's only legal to get at this point if you have an MSDN subscription.

Ah right. Doesn't make much sense yet, if its still really in the BETA stages.

Does it use a 3D interface like its meant to yet? I don't mean 3D as in, looks 3D. I mean, instead of using a Software interface, it uses a Direct3D interface.

If this is the beta version, well i won't see any difference when Vista will come out. Although, Vista seems stable

How come some people have been saying that Vista is simply Longhorn but with a new name, and some saying that Longhorn failed and they went with vista. Which one is it?

Vista was formerly Longhorn. Longhorn was just a test name and wasn't official until MIcrosoft decided on using Windows Vista as it's official name.

I hope for one thing that desktop at the back isn't just a plain jpg?... *dissapointed*

Anyhow, I'd expect more effects, etc to be going on, especially since it is now a 3D interface.
