video card and power supply choices.

ooooooooook. Here's what I dug up from a few sites. The card apparently has a few problems with some games. But in today's world something has to have a problem with something else eh?

SOunds like a good card to get. I would compare the core clock and memory clock speeds to other cards, such as a 9600XT, 5900 Ultra, 9700, 6600, and maybe a few others.

Otherwise it's an ok deal.

I was just looking on Newegg for your required components, and I found this card:

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?Item=N82E16814150089

I think that is one of the cheapest dual monitor cards around, and it's AGP which will run faster than the PCI card. I know you said that you wanted a PCI, but you'd end up spending the same amount of money on two "lesser" PCI cards.

As regards your PSU, I think this one should be fine:

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?Item=N82E16817103935

But I'm not sure what else you will be running off the PSU, so you might need to get more wattage from a different PSU.

Hope this helps!

im just gonna get one more hd and that card is mad expensive. all i am willing to spend is like 150 at most and im not buying it yet. i just cashed out lots of $$$$$$$$$ for my home theatre pcs.

Great card, horrible psu, it only has 12A on the 12V. Thats horrible. Mine had 18A and im thinking of getting a better one.

Yeah I know it only had 12A on the 12V rail but I mean he's not running a super computer on it, and it should fine for powering his system as long as he's not using 20 different expansion cards etc.

Bare in mind Fiercepc, the PSU that allenn812 is probably wanting to get will cost way over $100, espeically if he's after more than 18A. I mean I'm using an Enermax 600W Noisetaker with two 12V rails (one producing 18A and the other 16A) which is PLENTY for my system (below). If you're looking to only spend $150 on a PSU AND a dual monitor card, then you'd very lucky to get two decent components. Maybe off eBay but then it's second hand and you don't know what the owner has done to it.

Why do you want a dual monitor setup when you're only willing to spend the bare minimum on a card and PSU?

i dont wanna spend bare minium i just cashed out some crazy money for my gaming pc. i dont really wanna spend anymore and i just want to play some basic games on here instead of going all the way downstairs to do it. i was gonna get some card also so it would be easier to do homeowrk and for multi tasking like what my processor ismade for. just wanna use it a little more.
