Fixing LCD Screen?

i cracked my lcd screen, compaq presario r4000, is there anything i can do to fix it besides having the screen repaired? its a line across the screen with black dots all over the line. is there something i can do to get rid of the dots from the crack?

Erm no. If the LCD broke, the Liquid crystal dehydrated. You have to replace the screen. It may go worse

there is no way you can repair it.

You can try looking on eBay for a replacement LCD. I've seen a lot of them on there. If it's cracked, there really isn't any way to fix it. You'll have to replace it.
