I got this after posting my last post here:

These popups and other oddities have never happened to me on this forum until a few days ago. I'll scan for viruses and spyware, but I'm pretty sure I don't have any.

im using firefox and its happening :S

I did a search for advnt03 (The url shown in your image) and it appears to come from a browser hijacking. (http://forums.spywareinfo.com/lofiversion/index.php/t53678.html)

It would be a far better idea to dump all of the advertisers that you now have, and make the sensible move to Google AdSense. If I had a forum this size I would have done this. You can be sure that Google will not be serving up spyware ridden ads or links to porno sites.

As for me I have not had any problems with this problem, I use IE 6.0 sp2, also I use AdMuncher to filter out the adverts so no spyware ridden ads for me.

Spank can you pin down how many days ago you got hit? It has to be coming from an ad or something that was installed in the last few days. This type of browser jack/activeX insertion has not happened till just recently.

Shields at maximum. David, try a reroute of the DNS to override the ads auto spawn. It might by you a day or two before the ad can relock onto the DNS, allowing you time to find this hijacker and uproot it.

Unfortunately, I don't remember exactly when it started happening. I did do a spyware scan, and after getting rid of the initial junk, there were a couple recurring tracking cookies. I'm thinking they are coming from the ads.

So I got another popup, and I decided to allow it just to see what it was. Bingo. This is one of the recurring cookies I was talking about. Where could this be coming from? The ads, I'm guessing.
