How can I break down a program into smaller pieces

I need to e-mail a large program and need to break it down into a few pieces and then the recieving person has to build it back up. What should I use to acomplish this.

how big is the program, if it's not bigger than 1gb go to http://www.yousendit.com you can upload your program or whatever you want and it will send a link to the persons email, then they go to the link and download the program.
