I am travelling to Bangkok soon from Australia for a holiday and I was considering buying a laptop over there. Does anyone know how the prices compare with Australia.

Depending on what you want, $900 - $1300 for a decent one, and maybe $1300 - $2000 for something more professional. Something like that. Those prices are USD by the way.
