My current MB is an asus AGP, and i just ordered the eVGa 6800 ultra pci-e for 325$, and i need to get a PCI-E MB, can anyone help me find a good MB, price doesnt really mater to a point. I have a 3.2GHz CPU, 3 sticks of 512 kingstion DDR400, and yea could anyone help me find a good Intel board that i would be able to add things later on as upgrades come out if neeeded, im mainly going to be using it for games and graphic design. Thank you

EDIT: Or should i just get an AMD MB, and Get a new CPU? and if thats the case what AMD CPU should i get? again this is for games

edit edit: my CPU has 478 sockets if that helps any

Thank you

Your best bet would be to get a SLI AMD Mobo and a new AMD anthlon processor, i would give you alink by for some reason newegg.com isnt up..

if your going to spend 200 on a MOBO(motherboard) then your going to need a newer CPU. if you go with a Intel then go for socket 775 and if you decide to switch to AMD then get a MOBO with socket 939.

how is ur MB the Gigabyte 8I915P Duo Pro Intel Socket 775? and that mobo requires a 775 socket CPU? or is my 478 ok?

i like my MOBO. you would need to buy a socket 775 to use this MOBO. the socket of the CPU and the MOBO has to match to work together.

with this MOBO you would only be able to use 2/3 of your sticks. this MOBO does have 4 slots but 2 are for DDR memory and 2 or for DDR2 memory.

Bro... he did mention he has a budget.. aka.. 200 for the motherboard, 200 for the CPU. LMAO, but yeah, if he had that much, that is a good idea.
