IDE and SATA

Ok i got a SATA HDD that has all my files on it (Windows, games ect) but i also have a old IDE HDD set up for all my MP3's only thing on this HDD is the MP3 files nothig eles and my Q is, Will this sloww down my other harddrive or will it run the same?

1) connect drives
") copy data of the ide to the sata

No mean i have a SATA HDD connected right now with Windows and all my stuff on it, but i want to add a IDE HDD i have laying around (older HDD) for all my music and junk and im wondering that if i add this slower HDD it will also slow down my SATA HDD??

no because sata controlers and idde conrolers on your mobo work seperatly not together

well think your sata drive dosent eork at the speed of your cd-rom drive

True, is there anyway to tell the RPM of the HDD???

look on it there will be a big stick with the manufacture modle seral no ect it will be there
