right now i have corsair dual channel ram and i was thinking and getting another gb so if i did would it have to be the same brand or wont it matter? also are G. skill, Geil, Mushkin and OCZ good brands and which is the best one for overclocking?

Well I don't know about if the brand matters, but make sure that they have the same speeds and timings.

Geil, Mushkin, Corsair, Kingston and OCZ are all good ones. I think that Mushkin is the best when it comes to overclocking, but I'm not sure about that.

it DOES matter. not all ram companies make their ram the same, and that can cause problems. Be safe, get the same kind of ram you already have. Unless you want to ditch the ram you already have and throw in some new ram. Don't mix ram brands, theres a good chance you might run into problems, better off just playing it safe.
