All prices were gathered from www.newegg.com, and the total came to:

$16,572.80

Shipping was $259.99

Making a grand total of: $16,832.79

Now you may have noticed that I had no cooling system for the case, and well that's because Newegg don't supply LN2 cooling :) No idea how much these cost but I'm guessing a hell of a lot! So that'll bump up the total price.

Right, this is what I would do with that setup:

1. Obviously, build the PC.
2. Find the LN2 cooling system, buy it and install it.
2. Put the two 7800GTXs in SLi mode
3. Put all 4 500Gb hard drives into RAID 0+1
4. Put my operating system on one of the Cheetahs
5. Overclock the two 7800GTXs, the G Skill 2Gb RAM, and my 4800+ as much as possible
6. Put all my games on the other Cheetah
7. Put all my music and films on the 4 x 500Gb hard drives
8. Put any slow running programs (like photoshop etc) on the same Cheetah as the OS.
9. Sit back and play BF2 on a 63" plasma screen :) *drools* :D

IM WITH YOU! can you get me the parts too.. ( I wish) I love bf2! :D And now im accthuly scoring in the 70's :) ive done it 3 times in the 80's too!

Haha awesome!! I have yet to try it on my new system, but just think how thousands of fps you would get with the above spec?? Haha, it would look ******* amazing! I wish I had a spare $16,832.79 lying around :)

You just can't beat this comp… the ultimate comp!
Ok… let's start with everything….
CPU's- two amd opteron 275s (two dual cores! That's four cpus! That's like a clock speed of 8+ghz!
Mobo- tyan k8we This mobo supports 16GB OF RAM! Yeah… it's sli too.
Ram- 16gb of corsair registered ram, ballistix…
Videocards- two 7800gtx
Monitors- two dell 24” lcd widescreens (I don't need a 63" plasma or whatever... lol... two of these babies is as good as that monitor.. we're talking as far as the eye can see)
Psu- pc power and cooling turbo-cool 850W psu
Hd- 5 hitachi deskstar hd's at 500GB EACH! THAT'S TWO TB's!
Raid controller- sata netcell revolution
Optical drives- two plextor px-716sas with sata interface…
Sound card- creative sound labs sound blaster x-fi (24 times better than the best sound blaster card out right now)
Speakers- logitech's z5500e's
Keyboard and mouse- metadot keyboard and logtiect mx518
OS- Microsoft xp pro/ubunto or gentoo linux
Total price: around $13,000
THat's my choice...

17 grand for a computer. Whew, if only I were that rich. The most I'll probably spend on a performance PC would have to be around 3 grand at the most.

WHat do you mean realistic... I've seen this comp, in person! Seriously... it has been built. Search k8we on google, they actually have a better mobo out. One for 4 cpu's and 64 GIG'S of memory... yeah...

Very nice! Although I would rather have the Creative Sound Blaster X-Fi Fatal1ty FPS instead...the X-Fi series are better than all of the Audigy series.
