Help Me Build A Computer Plz

i no for "disk to disk" burning a dvdrom and a dvd burner is best . the dvd rom to read the source and a burner to write at the same time

It's also very handy to have two burners so your not constantly swapping CDs/DVDs round to get them in the right drive. And we're only talking a difference of what, $20 max between a ROM and RW?? Surely, if your building a PC, that's not much to consider!

Which ones are you looking at?? I was talking about getting two mid-ranged DVD-RW like this:

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?Item=N82E16827152047

Here is a DVD-ROM:

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?Item=N82E16827101131

So we're talking a difference of $18 between the two. I'm certainly not talking aboutany of the Plextor drives because they are waaaayyyyy to expensive. The NEC Dual Layer DVD_RW will cover any CD/DVD writing you need to do in the near future, and it has slightly better specs than a mid-range DVD-ROM.

Oh I know it is! I bought the computer in my sig from the UK due to me living in York. Sorry, I didn't see you lived in the UK! I'm so used to people using Newegg all the time, I got carrie away :)

Here's the NEC DVD-RW from www.overclockers.co.uk:

http://www.overclockers.co.uk/acatalog/DVD_RW_Drives.html - The NEC is about 9 down from the top and is priced £32.90 (inc. VAT)

Here's the Sony one I mentioned earlier:

http://www.overclockers.co.uk/acatalog/Online_Catalogue_DVD_ROM_Drives_114.html - It's about 6 down from the top and is priced £14.69 (inc. VAT)

There is only a £18.21 difference, and you get a much better DVD drive that will last you longer than the DVD-ROM.

Haha, yeah it sure is 4 floppy disk drives, but then what do you think you'll need more of? DVD-RWs or floppy disk drives? Haha, can't imagine wanting to buy 4 floppy disk drives :) One will be suffice for me!
