AMD 2400+ xp-mobile (multipler = 9.5, fsb = 200, total = ~1.9ghz)
Nvidia 6600gt AGP 8x
512mb ddr400 ram

score ~8,000

hoping to re-run the test with 1gb of ram, this time multiplier = 12.5, fsb = 175, total ~2.2ghz. I hope that gets me in the mid 8,000 to low 9,000

Oh right, didn't realise that you could affect your score by changing a few settings. Thanks for the info slayer!! I'll make sure to check out people's scores in the future!

How much do you think I will get with my new stuff(look in my sig)? Right now im getting an awesome score of 1200 in '05. Im hoping to get around 7000, is that being a little too hopeful?

For just one 7800gt, we're looking at around 8000 in 05 or 16,000 in 03.

upgrading anything will, even buying a better/higher end board will help out a bit

would there be a very noticeable difference b/t running the board at 1.8ghz and 2.2ghz. Im thinking of trying to run this at 2.2ghz, but while we were trying to run it at 200fsb and 11 multiplier the program kept exiting.

Also, what drains more energy a higher fsb or a higher multiplier.

change the fsb in the bios instead, safer and easier
and im not sure abou thte whole multiplier question, im thinking the multiplier

(just a hint, the admins only want maximum 5 lines for siggs)

doesn't increasing the FSB make all the components on the motherboard run faster?

right now im running the proc at 2.1ghz, (166mhz fsb, 12.5 multiplier)
