Ok so while installing my PSU, i found out that my motherboard has a 24 pin connection while my new PSU has a 20 pin connection. Now i have to replace it but what is the main difference between 20 pin and 24 pin connectors for PSU. Thanks.
Depends on the mobo, but yes some have 24 pin and they work also with a 20 pin wire. Just check which 4 pins are the optional ones.
And yes, the 20 pin to 24 pin converter will definately work, but if the mobo accepts 20 pin too then no need to buy anything.
