Windows SP2 question.

on a newly built computer i need to buy this Windows SP2 (http://www.tigerdirect.ca/applications/SearchTools/item-details.asp?EdpNo=1104919&sku=M17-5637) not this Windows SP2 upgrade (http://www.tigerdirect.ca/applications/SearchTools/item-details.asp?EdpNo=1087895&Sku=M17-5633) right?

Correct buy the full install, do not buy the upgrade. You will be performing a clean install to my understanding. But don't purchase that from tigerdirect.....go here:

You will save yourself a lot of money.....

ahh....i see. Newegg doesn't ship there huh? Well, try pricewatch.com, they might have some campanies that ship there. You can search for that operating system and it will come up with the lowest prices from different companies. make sure you read everything before buying though, some companies that it pulls up can be tricky the way they word things. When you pick something out post the link and let someone look at it to see and make sure it's the right thing. Hope you find what you need.

if you have windys XP (sp1 or not) you could install it and just download SP2

Nope i don't have any other windows i could use. i think i'm going to try linux for awhile till windows vista comes out and just buy that.

no because i had a legal copy of Nero 6 and then i lost the CD key so now i don't have any burning program. i tried to burn linux just through windows but it won't work. i need a burning program to burn linux to disks right.
