Here is my first attempt at an audio/video production PC. I encourage you to point out poor decisions, compatibility issues, etc. Fee free to tell me to start frm scratch - I just want a system around this pricetag that's going to boot up after I put everything together. Also, did I miss ANYTHING? Like if I ordered just this list and windows xp is that all I would need, or are there any ther nit picky things that I forgot?

Whoa! massive issue. That mobo and that cpu don't match. That cpu is socket 940 and that mobo socket 939! Holy smokes... yeah, you're gonna want something like an amd x2 4400+. By the way... all those links are dead. And I wouldn't go for no-name ram. Just isn't worth the problems that could occur. Go with corsair, ocz, or geil. Here's links for the stuff:
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?Item=N82E16819103497 for the cpu. Yeha, you need the OS. Xp pro preferrably... and the ram... http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?Item=N82E16820145575
is what I got at. If you want (if I'm thinking correctly) 3gb, 2gb is enough for any video editing. Your mobo is most likely dual channel, so you'll be needing this... hope this helps...

Wouldn't adm X2 be better for audio/video stuff?
And since u are doing audio stuff u might want to get a soundcard too.

Yes, please do get an Athlon 64 X2. It will do wonders for video production stuff and sound editing or other massive assignments you plan on doing. Some of those links still doesn't work, but here's what I would get if I were you:

I'm keeping your original motherboard because it will do a good job with what you are doing.
