Black screen at start up?

Ohh then you dont have a Serial ATA harddrive, i would guess that your HDD is going out....best bet would be to moniter the black screen to make sure it dosent get any longer.

i timed it just about 3minutes ugg

I'm ready to use windows in just about 1 min from the time I push the power button, and that includes me typing in my windows password

Its a new pc i can tell me pc isnt loading or anything. I see the windows loading screen and it loads in about 3 secs and then it turns black for 3min and then you see the blue screen where you typ your password and it takes 1 sec from there to go to my desktop. My specs are 1gb ram, 250gb hardrive, AMD athlon 64 3500+ 2.2ghz. And a nvidai 6800gt graphics card.
