Zeroes to Hard Drive

I just downloaded WD's Lifeguard DIagnostics tool and "Wrote Zeroes" to my hard drive, does that mean that it is formatted and can just be used as slave, or do i have to format it too

Writing zeros to the HD is a low level format so technically, it's formatted. I never dealt with low level format before. Try putting it in as a slave and see if it can be recognized. Then copy stuff to it and double check.

If it doesn't work, you can always format using your FDISK utility from a boot floppy and run a FORMAT on that drive.
