Video for school fun

I am trying to make a funny video at school but was wondering if any of you know if there is a website out there (or book) that has tutorials on how to make Ameture(sp) Videos?

I am new at this so any help would be nice.

Also i am in highschool.

no i mean more as in the taking of the videos. not the editing yet.
