Are 2 80GB HDD's better than 1 160GB HDD?

Since you have two hard drives, can't they operate at the same time, and thus improve efficiency?
 
They can operate at the same time. And you can store files on both keeping things more secure if you ever have to reinstall windows. 2 Hard drives are better than one in most cases. Although as an alternative you can partition one.
 
2 are better than 1 for sure, because defraging, formating, or scaning etc. can take an etenity on 160 gb hd
 
my format for my 200gb was like 15min.

i was happy it went so fast and no probs either.
 
Definately get two instead of the one, and as mentioned earlier, you can partition if you get one, but getting 2 is much better
 
put them in raid 0, then they'll both operate at the same time, and make your pc faster
