if ur building a computer u should know if it fits together or not. maybe you should do some more reaserch.

Hdd is SATA150 and the hdd supports SATA300. My gues is that it will work fine since SATA150 should be less advanced than SATA300 but since I don't know much about sata I can't say for sure. Other than that everything seems to be compatible with eachother.

Yes, finally the big question pops up!!!

School will be out next week (finals week) and I have some time now to play around with building a new performance PC (keep in mind it won't be a high performance PC because I plan on using this for software dump and testing). But the motherboard I had in mind is X2 ready. Go MSI!!! Before that decision was made, here's what was on my mind:

Now I was debating whether to use Intel or AMD this time around too. I figure since its for software testing, it won't matter. I was researching Intel pretty good and just can't find a consistent number of positive review on it. I think there were more negative than postive ratings for Intel's inefficient, more expensive, high temperature running CPUs compared to AMD counterparts. With that in mind, I have to choose AMD for a performance PC. Once again, Intel drew away another potential customer. I really wanted to build one too. Come on Intel, convince me.

I hear how unstable the Penium D is already. Then I read up on the Athlon X2, not to my surprise, everyone said how powerful it was and how temp was kept low. I mean, that speaks for itself what people should be investing in. If you look around, you'll see the same review all over. I mean look at these ridculous reviews for the X2:

"This thing is so fast it hurts. It overclocks well and runs very cool.
I ran 4 1GB RAR tasks and maxed out the cpu. Even still, email, web design, and graphic design software all were as responsive as if I was idle.

The 4 1GB RAR tasks finished in about the same time as my 2.4Ghz (other manufacturer) chip was able to do one. IF you are a power user and a heavy multitasker, this is the cpu for you."

"This thing is so fast that it practically leaves a burning trail! But instead of scorching the motherboard it runs surprisingly cool. For those of you going for a fresh build and decide on Intel or AMD, go to Newegg site and look at all the reviews for the X2. Not one single negative remarks. Then go to Intel's Pentium D review. You will see a lot of mixed reviews. Shouldn't that be enough of a deicion maker? It did for me.

Athlon 64's even without dual cores are still more efficient than Intel because better desing of Athlon architecture result in cooler CPU and perform better.

I truely believe in the power of the users. If brand alone doesn't get to me, than its the users. I mean people who buy these stuff are gamers, or need the processing power for high end development. They know what to look for.

yeah but amds have slower clock sppeds, if u OC they get as hot as intel and one of the biggest factors in my build is there deerer for the same spec
