300 as in $300? If so then I'd get a 6800GT. But if u don't want to spend too much money then get a 6600GT. They will both run BF2 and Doom3, just don't if u can put the graphics to highest with 6600GT.

yes, everyone know how to do it. 
Just go to the bios and change the multiplies and fsb from there. For more detailed info go to google.
