Is there an easier way to model a building using a 3d designer program instead of building it one shape at a time?

I mean is there a way to model it from a photograph and having the software put it together?

HELP!!!!!!!!!!!! please?

there is no easy escape to this but softimage can make it look like it with its build in texture editor...

niceties55, a few programs exist that say they can build 3d objects from photographs, but they are not very good, in fact, I don't believe any 3d artists use them at all. if you want to get into 3d, you need to learn how to model the objects and have the patience to build them, making decent 3d models can take days, weeks, or even months to complete a decent 3d scene There is no easy way out, if there were, half the 3d artist nowadays would have no jobs. However, I could easy have missed something like what you want, so for the best of luck, post a thread like this one over at http://forums.cgsociety.org/ and see if they can help you (very big digital art forum) Hope this helps
