I know this thread is old, but I think the information given here can help someone to find the answer. I'm not a professional, though I've been learning web design for several months. In my opinion, it is possible to choose a good website builder for blog, there even exists a collection of such builders on http://www.webbuildersguide.com/website-builder-categories/website-builders-for-blogs/. I was in the same boat when I was looking for a good software for the site creation. I hope it will help someone!
