Mozzila VS IE

yeah, firefox= better browser. Why? security features, tabbed browsing, and all around better performance.

I have Mozzila, would never give it up. Just wanted to know what you guys think of it. THANKS! -Jamie

Firefox hands down. Firefox gives a hefty cash reward to anyone who can find a flaw in its security ($500 dollars and a cool t-shirt). They don't do this to show off, but to make Firefox an even more secure browser. Five people have found flaws before and recieved the cash reward, but Mozilla quickly updated Firefox and addressed these bugs. If Microsoft gave away money everytime someone found a flaw in IE, they would be bankrupt.

"Mozilla says that the cash bounty was offered to encourage people to report the critical bugs to them as soon as possible so that they can be fixed before someone exploits them in the real world. As a result, there are less chances of the bug becoming public with the organization getting little time to release a fix and prevent any security breach to the users of the applications."

"SecurityFocus, reports 0 unpatched vulnerabilities in Firefox 1.0.5, versus 45 unpatched vulnerabilities in Internet Explorer 6 on Microsoft Windows XP SP2."

Whether you use Mozilla of Firefox, you've got a safer solution to browse the web, which is a lot more customisable and fast than what Microsoft jokingly call a web-browser.

Opera's a good browser too, but the free version has an ad-banner and you might not like the interface.

Sure if you like a lot of ads and tons of spyware IE is the way to go, If you want speed, no pop ups and no spyware then go with FireFox.
IMO FireFox wins this war hands down.
Best,

Internet Explorer doesn't make you have spyware - lack of common sense in the sites you visit and things you download does. Ads show up an both browsers as well. They're part of a webpage. Also, popup blocking is integrated into IE with SP2, so there's no problem there, either. In terms of speed, there's really no difference. It's a browser. The speed depends on your internet connection.

Nope, Firefox is definitely faster. IE makes that stupid clicking sound when you click a link, you can't tell if it's loading, and after a while, it'll load. Firefox is just click, pause, load. Smooooooth.

IE makes you more vulnerable to attacks, that's for sure.
