Installing same windows XP on 2 computers

Yes it's true you can have the same copy on two different computer's.

just don't register one of them, and when you install it use the restore option, but it must be the same company pc as the windows cd.

example: if you own two gateway computer's, you must install windows using a win xp cd for gateway.

ok, well here's my situation... i had windows me on my old hp computer, then i bought windows xp. i just completed building my new computer, and don't need my old one. so can i unregister =P my xp cd on my old comp and register it on this new one?

I think you should call microsoft and explain your situation because we have the same problem like yours before and after we told the story they just gave us the activation key
