hi

ive alwaysed wondered why cd'd can hold about 700mb or 72mins. I mean like if you burnt 700mb's of music on a cd yuo would have alot more then 72mins...could explain this to me?

72 mins is when u burn it in audio format, so you can listen to it on ur cd player, but cd players now days have MP3 reading format or w/e so they can read em when you burn em straight to a disk so you can have 100+ songs on a cd and still play em on ur cd player...

yeah, and if you have an mp3 reading cd player you can play them on a cd player, but if you dont then stick to the audio cd's :p (70mins)

Hit the nail on the head there :)

Its because the MP3 IS a compressed Version of an

Audio File. WAV is the uncompressed which is 30-50MB

per song. When u burn a MP3 to a MUSIC CD. It

converts it back to the WAV format thus taking more

space :

ok let me get this straight:

if i have mp3's i can burn up to 700mb

if i have wav i can have 70mins

okedokey?
