well, the abit is known to be easier to setup so i would go with the abit...but over budget id go with the dfi.

over ocing....both are great!!

Also use Bios to see your system temp, its the most accurate, and theres always Everest too
Get a Zalman if your on a budget got for a coolermaster

....no the max is 4....you will not be able to transfer your OS....unless you use the entire hard drive.....
