CD/DVD not found.

Just today I restarted my computer and when it started up the very first screen that comes up says "CD/DVD not found. Please consult troubleshooting guide in manual for help

Press escape to continue and not see this message again
Press Enter to continue without CD/DVD"

It also makes a wierd clicking noise whenever this comes up that has never happened before. When checking the hardware Windows is saying its connected but its not showing up. Also when I checked the Device Manager it said that the location is 0. Is that normal? Any help would be greatly appriciated. Thanks in advance.

Try updating firmware, and also try swapping jumpers, and also try putting it slave to your HD. Good Luck

Oops I forgot about this thread. I guess I should update you. The CD drive was pretty old and I found out the whole thing was just shot. So I ended up gettin a new one, Pioneer dual-layer DVD/CD burner 59 bucks. Thanks for the help anyway.
