Which computer company/parts?

i feel 100% comfortable with making a computer now that ive read and it isnt hard looking. i have the skill from just screwing around inside to do it. also, id like to get some cable wraps or cylinder typed cables for the HDD and such.

Thats a pretty good rig you have there. You plan on gaming a lot with the new one? What you using it for? Also, your budget? If you have any questions post em and I will try and help.

i can run fear on Maximum with this PC and no lag after 5 or so rounds. but i want better graphics with no lag after 0 rounds lol. yea i plan on gaming alot with the new PC, FEAR and BF2 + the standard hl/hl2 games. otherwise i wont be doing much else except surfing the web downloading stuff and that is pretty much it. i can spend around 1700 max as of now. but because id be building i prolly with be able to buy better/more of other stuff. id like to try the PCI technology also.

I do not need a monitor nor speakers either. although id love new speakers just to listen to my zappa and other music.

Dang man, with 1700 bucks you can buy top of the line just about everything. Hell.... get the new nvidia 7800, you will definately be happy with that. So what do you need? Pretty much everything except for monitor and speakers right?

Check out all these items. My shopping cart said $1665 Not bad for pretty much top of the line stuff.

These are just examples of what you could buy, depending on what it more important to you, you can adjust where needed. Have fun man, I know I would....

if thats 1700 american, this what i would do with the money = amd 64 3800, 7800gtx, cheap nforce 4 sli motherboard, cheap atx computer case, and ocz powerstream 520 watt 30amps on 12v line.

i would resuse my old parts from the current computer i have now= monitor, keyboard, cd-rom drive, harddrive etc. as much as i can reuse i would.

Yes but indeed the DFI Lanparty UT4 nForce 4 chipset motherboard is the best overclocker!!! Well, it does compete with the abit Fatal1ty but the dfi is much cheaper.

AMD Athlon 64 X2 4400+

what is X2? is that 2 CPU's?

And why should i go with Nvidia over ATI? I love my ATI now even more than my old Gforce4 128mb card.
