monitor questions

A CRT monitor from 1998? Yeah, I'd consider getting a new one. If you're looking into LCD though, I'd wait until after the holiday season. Flat panel prices have been dropping, and they will follow that trend for awhile.

Every monitor should fit in every vid card. And if u want a new monitor go for a flat one. And about the refresh rate, some ppl use 75hz, I prefer 85hz and some prefer higher. (I can't go higher than 85 so I don't really know how the faster ones feel like) But u should be fine with 85hz.

Yes, so true. My mom has an old monitor back in the early 90's when she had her first IBM Aptiva running the original Pentium processor. Her monitor works just as good on a new PC I built for her like it did on the Aptiva.

Hehe I'm using a monitor from 96 with a brand new video card. Works fine, I know it could look better on a newer monitor, but there wouldn't be a vast difference.
