Ahhh Processes

I am currently trying to fix my friends computer....the computer is running 60 processes with windows xp... i know its not right but i cant get it to be normal. I used spy bot search and destroy and ad aware to get rid of any spyware on it. please help.

microsoft anti-spyware, and search the processes on google and see if they are spyware, if they are find out how to remove them.

your friend's system is in quite a mess.
i've got 20 processes, and thats because i'm multitasking, I have 14 when I close my stuff.
take Computergen's advice with google, you can find an explanation for just about every .exe useing that.

If there Legit Programs, Spybot and M:AS wont find them..... Then you can just go to ...Start-->Run...Type MSCONFIG Click Ok,
Then Click On The Startup Tab and remove the things that look weird. Be carefull some stuff mite be needed, Driver,Firewall,Antivirus,ECT. This wont work for Windows 2000 You have to download a Event Viewer To see that processing are running there. Hope this Helps.
