2 gigs of OCZ platinum revision 2
2 7800gtx SLI
Asus A8N SLI deluxe
2 72 gig raptor drives raid 0
Sound Blaster Platinum with live drive
16x dual layer dual format dvd burner
Antec P180 case

Overkill? No? How long should this build last me?

total cost is around 2 grand ( i work at a certian major electronics store that i get a good discount at)

Why not wait and see what ATI crossover dual GPU set up is like before commiting with dual 7800's. You never know, it might turn out to be like the Radeon 9700 over the Geforce 4.

Also, with kit like that, what PSU are you considering on using. A good £70 looks in order.
