Windows does not see my hard drive

I just reinstalled windows and deleted all the files off both my D and C drive. But when I had finished and windows had been installed again my computer is only showing my C drive, and my D drive is now the CD instead of my other hard drive.

I'm sure there is an easy fix to this, but i have no clue. I would apprecate any help. Thanks.

Sorry but I do not know what SATA is, or if it is that. Is there an easy way to find out?

My knowledge of computers is kind of basic

If its not a custom built computer there is VERY low chances it is Serial ATA

It is a custom built computer. I myself did not build it but a freind of mine did. He builds computers for his liveing. Unfortiantly he is not around so i can not ask him.

If there is a quick easy way of figureing it out i am compentent enough to do that.

Ok i got it to work

I just had to go into the setting in my computer and formate the D drive. I had thought i had already done that but i guess not. It's working now so it's all good.
