install MS office problem

Hi everyone,
I am new in this forum, firstly i'd like to say hello.
to the point, i got problem installing MS office(2000,xp,and 2003) to my PC, i am using XP pro. when i try to install it gives error message: "Error opening istallation log file. Verify that the specified log file location exist and it writeable"

is there any tips how to overcome this problem, coz of this i must use MS off 97 now.

If you are using an original CD of Office, then this is very odd!

Are you using an original CD? There COULD just be an error or file error on that CD. Just check if its an original.
