I tried a program called spyware doctor its good but it runs like sh!t on my dads computer like when it has the onguard feature on it slows the computer right down and uses all the cpu when it isn't even doing anything.
Ad-aware and spybot find things that arent threats to your computer but are unrecognizable files. MS Antispyware is by far the best....and its free. use it...period.
