Screenshot of video!

If I take a screenshot of a video I have playing and then paste it into paint its all black!!

I've tried this before, its something about hardware acceleration or something!

So simple q.. how do i take a screenshot of video??

Did you take the screenshot while it was playing or paused? If while playing, try taking it while it's paused.

You can capture a video image as a still using Windows Movie Maker.
It comes with Windows Xp...
EDIT: If the image is from a DVD, you can also make it within Windows Media Player...

this is a security feature which stops you from "borrowing" dvd content. try several dvd players because some manage to get arround it. i dont know why.
