Hi, i bought my Athlon 64 3500+ system etc etc. Smacked it all together, power on. Works like a dream. However, i downloaded Windows X64 Evaluation from the Microsoft site burned it to disk. And it won't boot and install it!?

I thought "Hey, Windows X64 maybe needs Windows XP installed too". So, i installed Windows XP, put the disk in...Nothing. Just a lonely little .iso file which it can't read. It's definately all downloaded it's 574MB. It just won't do nout.

Any specific way i need to get this badboy to run?

Also, i can't install my 32-bit drivers with it can i?

.ISO is an image file. You must burn it to a cd by a program that can burn images. I am not sure but I think that atleast alcohol was able to do image cds.

I thought a .ISO file was a compressed format file, like a .ZIP?

How can X64 be an image file...?

I'll take a look Daemon, thanks. Any other ideas anyone???
