maybe the software could not be closed correctly and you need to keep pressing your shutdown button to close it.

try shutting the system down directly
go to %systemroot%\system32 and then click shutdown
try that ... hope it works

i had this problem before it was very annoying do you get a message saying "something.dll failed to initialize because the windows station is shutting down" i got that and registry scan fixed it right up

Hey guys, I know this is an older post, but I haven't been around. Yeah, V2K6.2, I get that message. Is the registry scan what was mentioned above? I'll try all of your suggestions. Thanks for the help everyone.
