URGENT! Cannot recognize hard drive!

too bad you're giving up ... have you tried going to your mobo site to download the sata drivers from there? Do you have access to a floppy drive from another computer ... i.e. a friend's pc? Buy one for $5 at your local pc shop ...they probably have "crap" bin to choose from. Install the floppy drive into your pc and try again using XP's F6 option.

Well, I have two that are propping up my TV for a better viewing angle, and I used one to try to get the drivers from the motherboard CD, but they just wouldn't extract for me. [shrug]
