Your Dream System?

AMD Athlon 64 X2 4800+
2GB OCZ EL Platinum Dual-Channel DDR400 SDRAM (4 x 512MB; 2-2-2-5)
148GB SATA-150 RAID 5 10,000rpm HDD
ATI Radeon 7000 32MB DDR
Sound Blaster Live! 24-Bit
16x DVD-/+RW DL

The Dual Core Xeons with HT they're coming out with pumped up to 4.0Ghz with, of course, the required Watercooling
Gigabyte Intel Chipsetted Motherboard
2Gigs DDR2 RAM
2x 240Gig SCSI 10krpm Hard Drive
nVidia 6600Ultra 256Meg

That would be very nice :D

I'd rather have a dual-core Opteron, since i heard they were considerably better than Xeons.

Anyway, have Intel finally broken the 4GHz barrier?

Nah, although you can get 4.0 easy on a 3.73 EE Single Core without much expensive Cooling, and with a 840 you can get 4.0Ghz, technically 16Ghz because of the four whole threads you get to use! with just cheap arse Water Cooling.

A Quadruple Opteron 846 would be good. Also, a 64GB RAM and like x10.2EB of HDD space, and some big DVD-RAM drives

Haha, I was trying to go for something technically reasonable :p A quad Itanium 2 would do me too, presuming it came with all the Software I like encoded for 64-bit usage :p
