Need Help hooking up wires.

Is it ok to use two different IDE chords instead of just one? Becausethe wire doesn't reach from the hard drive to the CD-Rom drive.

Could i ask something can you split id cables because how do people have like dvd rom and then a cd-rw then a dvd-rw and then like 2 hard-drives ?

Maybe just done this way. Dvd rom+cd-rw and dvd-rw to IDE cables. And the 2 hdd:s to ATA cables.

Thanks i thought it worked that way i just thought if there was another way i might aswell know
