hi

recently, my speakers keep giving out loud static sounds whenever windows loads and the static just keeps continuing until i shut down windows. the static sounds start at the startup screen for windows. (i'm using xp)

i can still hear other sounds like music and the startup sound but only faintly, and when i turn up the volume so the static is unbearably loud. i really want to get the problem fixed so i can listen to music.

i know its not my speakers because i've connected my headphones to the speaker port at the back of the computer and i still have the problem.

does anyone know what could possibly be the problem and how to fix it?

thanks you all very much

ok, i've tried reinstalling the drivers but the problem doesn't go away. however when i disable the sound drivers all noise and sound dissapears.

whats internal sound? is it in the volume control option? if it is, when i change the volume the static sound changes volume as well. and yes, it is at full.

thank you
