I have been having some problems with my on board audio on my K7S5A mobo so I decided to take some parts out of my other computer to see if I can get some audio working on the K7S5A. However, this sound card that I pulled out of the other computer does not have a PCI hook up, instead it has a 25 pin hook up that goes obviously to somewhere but not to a PCI interface. I looked around in the motherboard and could find no match to this 25 pin cable hook up...EXCEPT ON MY AGP RAGE 128 GL. Is this an odd coincidence or does this sound card actually hook up onto my video card????

sounds like you got the old mbod bus type that was around before pci. it would look like a longer black socket that the card came out of, yes? well if so, do not shove it in your agp slot - its not meant to go there. unfortunatley you may have to get a new scard

good luck

Hmmm, depending on how old this other PC was, it could be an ISA sound card. This was the standard before PCI came out.
